I’m always here, but never present.
Fading in and out of consciousness,
Slowly drifting through time and space,
Got caught up in the current of a dream like state.
I’m a sweet tragedy waiting to happen,
A beautiful disaster,
trying to learn how to master myself and the world around me.
Watch me self-destruct slowly before your eyes.
I’m a prisoner of my mind,
With no concept of time nor the ability to care,
Of anything but this moment right here,
I exist infinitely in the present every time I’m in your presence.
My mind is clouded with thoughts I can’t quite comprehend,
I’m on a downward spiral,
A descent into darkness,
To a black hole where we’ll never grow old,
Where together we are whole,
You complete me to the beat,
And everything but us becomes obsolete.
I’m ironing out the creases in the fabric of my life,
As i’m unraveling slowly before your eyes,
Barely holding on by a thread,
Living life on the very edge,
On the brink of insanity,
Searching for a single shred of humanity to hold on to,
Till I find you.
You are the music that echoes in my soul,
You are the bassline that vibrates through my bones,
I lose myself on the dancefloor and find myself caught up in your groove,
I love the way you make my body move,
There’s nothing in this world I’d rather do, but you….
