Wake Up

I don’t even for a minute believe that the world is going to just suddenly end tomorrow on December 21st, 2012 like many of you claim that the Mayan prophecy has predicted. However, I do believe that after a certain period of time our environment will no longer be able to sustain human life. Whether it is our generation or the generation after ours, eventually mankind will not be able to defy the inevitable ecological collapse of our planet earth. Still, it troubles my soul to think that so many of you are making a mockery of this entire concept of the world ending.
It’s crazy how a little rumor about the world ending has become an international fear instilled in the minds of millions. Whether we choose to believe it or not, there will always be a fraction of doubt in the back of our minds saying “what if” the world really did end tomorrow as it could at any given time. Or even if the world does not physically end during our lifetime, sooner or later each and every one of us will die and when we do OUR world will end and that’s what matters most to us, right?
Please, humor me for a minute and answer my question: What if you died tomorrow, would your life have been worth it? Have you accomplished everything that you had wanted to accomplish in this lifetime? Have you fulfilled your purpose? I can only speak for myself when I say that if I died tomorrow, my life would have been a waste as I have not even discovered my true purpose yet.
There’s a part of me that runs free claiming that I have no regrets – because everything happens for a reason – because every moment I spent happy is a moment I should never regret – because I’ve learnt from my mistakes – because it’s made me who I am today.
We all like to claim that we have no regrets because unfortunately regrets can’t change the past, and having regrets is a lot like holding a grudge against your self. However, I am absolutely certain that almost each and every one of us, if given the chance, would have done things differently – if only we knew then what we know now.
I strongly believe that we have misinterpreted the Mayans by assuming that tomorrow will mark the physical destruction of humanity and the end of the world as we know it. Instead, I would like to believe that the apocalypse you are all referring to is not a physical, but a psycho-spiritual death and rebirth which will mark a major paradigm shift and the mass inner transformation of humanity.
Just because we will survive does not mean that we should take the worlds indefinite existence for granted. When you go to bed tonight I want you all to imagine that you are going to die tomorrow. Imagine all the things you will regret not having done, all the things you will regret not saying to someone, all the things you would do differently. When you wake up, instead of saying “HAA SEE I TOLD YOU FOOLS THE WORLD WASN’T GOING TO END!” I want you to take a moment to be thoroughly grateful that you are alive and accept this as our last and only chance to rise to our potential as human beings.
I invite you all to spread the belief that tomorrow is not the end, but the beginning of a new era – a new level of consciousness. This is our awakening.
Thank you for reading.
Cheers,
Faith
